Q:  How does the WingLauncher work?

A:  The WingLauncher works by holding the wing by the back, bottom and top front of the wing.  When tension is applied by pulling back on the bungee two arms on a pivot hold the wing securely in the cradle.  When you release the wing in The WingLauncher the cradle holds the wing securely until there is no longer tension in the bungee cord and then the front part of The WingLauncher pivots down, releasing the plane and dropping away below.  See the PIC's and FLIC's section to see a picture of this in action.

Q:  Does the "Sweet Release" cradle stay on the wing?

A:  No, the cradle falls away from the plane after the acceleration phase of the launch still attached to the bungee.  That is the beauty of The WingLauncher system - it allows you to use a bungee system to launch your wing without the need to alter your plane!

Q:  How do you hold The WingLauncher, your plane and the radio at the same time?  Is it complicated or foot operated or does it require two people to operate easily?

A:  The WingLauncher system only requires one person to operate it, you, the pilot.  One of the nice things about The WingLauncher system is its portability and one handed operation.  The WingLauncher is not foot operated.  You simply place your wing in the cradle, walk back 20 or 30 paces, make sure your plane is on and responding to control inputs and let go to launch!  The WingLauncher releases your plane at the exact right moment every time!

Q:  What if The WingLauncher doesn't release the wing?

A:  To our knowledge this has never happened.  As we all know anything is possible but The WingLauncher is designed to release the wing in all normal operational circumstances.

Q:  Will The WingLauncher work on other planes?

A:  The WingLauncher only works on flying wing style planes such as the Zagi, Boomerang or XR and any other similarly sized and shaped craft with no center body or fuselage.

Q:  Can The WingLauncher be used to launch an electric Zagi?

A:  Yes, you can use the WingLauncher to launch an electric Zagi, including the 400 and 400 X.

Q:  Can The WingLauncher get tangled in the prop of an electric Zagi?

A:  No, even if the prop starts to freewheel when The WingLauncher "Sweet Release" cradle drops away the plane and the cradle are traveling at the same velocity and gravity provides a nice clean seperation!
